I guess b/c so many of my friends LOVED L&D I just thought I would too, but alas it wasn't love at first site. Like you said though, there's plenty of places to work & get different experiences if I don't find that certain thing that just calls out to me. Thanks :)Candihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13995021996457640960noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7371007066415015499.post-560074624791554542013-03-23T22:41:19.319-05:002013-03-23T22:41:19.319-05:00maybe you'd be best starting on a med / surg f...maybe you'd be best starting on a med / surg floor just to get your skills fine tuned and see what types of patients you like...you don't have to stay in it forever ~ nor do you need to have a perfect plan at this time in your schooling. I knew I always loved L&D but I did med /surg for 5 years prior to changing....it really made me a much better nurse. And the best thing is that there are so many choices in nursing and you can move around throughout your career.
Just enjoy the journey :)babyrndebhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15083653110114987580noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7371007066415015499.post-75838171370113292362013-03-23T20:36:33.044-05:002013-03-23T20:36:33.044-05:00Yes I saw 2 vaginal births and one section while I...Yes I saw 2 vaginal births and one section while I was there that day. I've seen vaginal births before, but that was my first section. And that's okay! You will be a great nurse wherever you chose because there's no mistaking that you care! Whichever direction you start getting pulled, just be patient. Don't jump into any one area until you know that you could go to work with interest and without anxiety. If you can get to that point, I'm sure you're where you were meant to be.
PS did you get to see a vaginal or c/s birth yet?Frazzled-Razzle-RNhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10840442693927025940noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7371007066415015499.post-23152542826901793882013-03-22T20:53:46.430-05:002013-03-22T20:53:46.430-05:00I am totally counting down till the end of semeste...I am totally counting down till the end of semester!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02558286299653986907noreply@blogger.com
