I'm always stoked when I visit other nursing blogs & see that they're followers of mine! It's so cool to think that people get something out of this blog about my crazy life in nursing school. I try to be as honest as I can be about my experiences. I just noticed that Andrea did a post about her top 5 nursing blogs & mine was one of them, and I just thought that was so sweet!! I try very hard to follow people back that are following me & I try really hard to reply to everyone's comments. My intent is just to give an honest opinion about this road that we've chosen & hopefully it won't scare the beejeezus out of new nursling students will inspire those about to embark on this same road. So, basically I just want to say thanks for following my blog, that is all. :D
So as you can see I have GRADUATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woohoo!! I am SO happy that nursing school is over, but can we say holy terrified? Tomorrow is the NCLEX & I feel thoroughly unprepared. Fortunately our school provided us with the HURST Review and even though I have been studying this for about 2 weeks now I still feel completely terrified to actually take the test. Of my former classmates I know of one so far who has failed....so scary... The rest of them are chugging along & passing on a daily basis, hopefully I will be one of them! But to rewind, here are a few pics from graduation & my graduation party that my precious husband & sister threw for me: That's my baby girl to my right, she looks taller than me! I seriously couldn't have been cheesing any harder!! My nursing bestie & his bf hiding in the back! My study buddy! My inlaws, aren't they precious!! Definitely one of the best days of my life!
I found your blow eye opening for me. I am in a different nursing program going for my Licensed Practical Nursing Diploma, presumably a different country (i'm in Canada), and I find your posts about school struggles, experiences, and triumphs very similar to my experiences. It is amazing to see that nurses have alot of the same experiences regardless of their differences.
ReplyDeleteYep, I guess when it comes down to it we all are suffering the same lol.
DeleteI have a new blog.. I'm almost done getting my CNA certification and start my pre-reqs for nursing next month.. eeeek!! I'm so glad there are others out there to help me to not lose my mind!!
ReplyDeleteI'm starting Nursing school in the Fall and it is so awesome to read your stories and insight into your life. I'm scared shitless to begin the program but reading blogs has become such a great reliever to see everyone goes through the same stress.
ReplyDeleteTake care! =)
